Look online for "Singles Cruises" . . Cruises are offered for many diffrent interests. Poker, Square Dance, Singles, Non-Drinkers, Gay/Lesbian, Retired folks, whatever.

When you see cruise lines advertise their rate it is listed as "per person based on double occupancy". She would have to pay 150% of the going rate to be alone in her cabin. Sometimes cruise lines will offer a singles cruise but then they will pair you with a roommate.

Some cruise lines and travel agents will advertize singles cruises. However, all cruise lines sell all of their cabins DOUBLE OCCUPANCY. This means that even if you go by yourself you have to pay as though two people are going (the single supplement). They do this even on the "singles" cruises. Some singles cruises will pare you with someone to share a cabin. I personally would not want to spend my nights sleeping and changing clothes in a room with a totel stranger. Even though they make two seperate beds for you (and whomever) a 9ft by 12ft room is close quarters.

Rather than her paying for two fares to be in the cabin alone, ask her to pay a portion of your fare. If she want to pursue going alone, then have her check out this site:

If you decide to go together go on Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Celebrity or Holland AMerica. Caution: … Holland AMerica tends to have really old folks, like 70′s and above. They have great food and ships. The other cruise lines will have a good mixture of people. All are great cruise lines.

Check vacationstogo.com, they’re the best, I’m taking an Alaska cruise by myself with them next summer, they’ll find you a roommate with their match program, someone your gender and age in their hosted singles cruises, I checked several agents and companies and they looked better than the others. Even that it is a singles tour, doesn’t mean everybody is looking for a mate, the idea it’s just meet other people traveling alone and have fun.

Good luck!!

Hi, There’s a free Cruise Travel Guide at:

http://www.yourinternettravelguide.com/freeguides.php

that has a lot Cruise tips in it so it may help. It also has some travel links in it to cheap deals sites so maybe you can get a deal where you can go as well.

Also, this review site had some good stuff last time I looked at it:
